About The Position

The WC Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and winning new accounts to deliver the desired sales goals. This position will be responsible for initiating, maintaining and developing new accounts and driving incremental revenue from these accounts. Position will also have responsibility for growing revenue of specific existing assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the US Military
  • Minimum of 5 years in Technical Sales or Business Development roles
  • Proven experience with CRM (Salesforce helpful) and standard sales reports
  • Experience working from home office

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned revenue quota
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new commercial and industrial accounts across California, with a focus on manufacturing and high energy-consumption facilities in Southern California to meet/exceed growth targets.
  • Assess prospective customers' energy usage, equipment, and operational processes to recommend appropriate FlexEnergy products/solutions, translating technical specifications into clear value propositions for both engineering and executive stakeholders.
  • Simultaneously manage a portfolio of active opportunities at varying stages (prospecting, proposal, negotiation, close) across multiple industry verticals, using CRM tools to track progress, forecast accurately, and prioritize effectively.
  • Partner with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible, accurately scoped, and deliverable, providing a seamless handoff from sale to implementation.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, pricing models, and contract terms tailored to each customer's industry, facility requirements, and energy profile; negotiate terms to close deals that meet company margin and volume goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of energy regulations, incentives, and trends affecting manufacturing and industrial sectors in target states (e.g., California's energy policies) to position FlexEnergy as a knowledgeable partner.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with key decision-makers (plant managers, facility engineers, C-suite) to drive repeat business, referrals, and account expansion within existing customer sites.
  • Provide regular sales activity reports, pipeline updates, and revenue forecasts to sales leadership, and contribute market intelligence to inform territory and product strategy
