About The Position

Susquehanna is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a front office team responsible for designing and building low-latency trading systems that power our trading strategies. Our short development cycles mean your work reaches production quickly, and your impact is immediate and visible. In this role, you will design and build high-performance, low-latency systems where architecture choices directly affect trading outcomes. You will own the full technical stack — from system design through implementation — with a focus on stability, scalability, and minimizing operational risk. You will also evaluate and prototype new technologies, tools, and approaches to keep our systems and infrastructure ahead of the curve, and apply strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, to build systems that are both fast and maintainable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline or its foreign equivalent
  • 3+ years of progressive experience developing software applications or trading infrastructure
  • Strong foundation in system design, with the judgment to balance performance, reliability, and simplicity
  • Experience with (or strong aptitude for) high-performance or low-latency system development
  • Solid object-oriented programming skills and sound engineering practices
  • Comfort working directly with non-engineering stakeholders (traders, quants) to shape technical solutions around real trading needs
  • Curiosity and initiative, with a track record of investigating new technologies and proposing improvements
