About The Position

Optiveum is recruiting and contracting for a client in the banking sector. The C/C++ System Engineer will design, develop, and maintain C and C++ microservices for credit risk, recommendation, and credit scoring products. The role involves building APIs and calculation engines that support compliance with credit regulations across multiple countries. The engineer will develop support for complex business processes, including integrations with credit authorities, and participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through coding, testing, and deployment. The role is full-time (40 hours per week), under a B2B contract, and hybrid with 75% remote work. The location is Warsaw or Łódź. Cooperation agreements are signed directly with Optiveum. The rate is up to 150 PLN per hour net plus VAT.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency and in-depth knowledge of C and C++.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Good knowledge of mapping, code flow, and XML.
• Understanding of unit, component, integration, and system testing.
• Understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Visual Studio.
• Experience with package building and creating .exe files.
• Hands-on use of GitHub Copilot.
• Fluent Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Work within an agile Scrum team.
• Design, develop, and maintain C and C++ microservices supporting credit risk, recommendation, and credit scoring products.
• Build robust APIs and calculation engines that ensure compliance with credit scoring and recommendation regulations across multiple countries.
• Develop support for complex business processes, including integrations with credit authorities.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through coding, testing, and deployment.
• Work with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
