About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a Experienced C-17 Retrofit Technical Specialist to join the C-17 Retrofit, Maintenance and Modifications team, in San Antonio, TX. This role involves researching and analyzing engineering data to develop and draft Retrofit, Maintenance, and Modification instructions and disposition requirements for removed assemblies. The specialist will define configuration requirements, create installable modification packages, and identify the creation of kit assembly parts lists. They will also review engineering data packages, identify required parts, materials, and consumables, and provide technical resolution for retrofit and modification-related problems. Additionally, the role includes validating engineering bill of materials, analyzing gaps, and creating draft document delivery schedules in coordination with the overall modification schedule.

Requirements

  • 3+ years Military aircraft experience.
  • 3+ years reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics.
  • 3+ years working in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • 3+ years of interfacing directly with military or commercial customers.
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict Of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
