About The Position

Boeing Global Services is searching for a C-17 Engine Peculiar Support Equipment Technician to support the team in Joint Base Charleston, SC. This role involves assembling, disassembling, and modifying systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. The technician will oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul, configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment, and troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faulty components. Additionally, the role includes performing validation/verification testing of systems and components, documenting procedures and processes for compliance, inspecting components, and verifying repairs for flight worthiness. Training oversight is also a responsibility. The position works under general direction.

Requirements

1+ years of experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
1+ years of hands-on experience with overhead cranes
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Able to read and comprehend USAF technical data and interpret blue prints.

Responsibilities

Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
Oversees training.
