About The Position

The C-17 Development Hardware team is currently looking for a C-17 Avionics Hardware/Cognizant Engineer (Electronic Sys Design & Analy) to join their team in Long Beach, CA. This organization supports Boeing’s C-17 Program, the world's premier military airlift capability. We are looking for a solid C-17 Avionics Hardware/Cognizant Engineer (Electronic Sys Design & Analy). This position will include support for the entire product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, systems design, lab design/specification, integration testing, flight test, technical sub-contractor management, field support and customer interactions. You will integrate and coordinate activities related to technical design across internal groups, suppliers and customers. This role is the Engineering focal for the production and field sustainment of C-17 Avionics Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and their associated equipment. You will be responsible for meeting the overall LRU technical performance, quality cost and on-time delivery of product and services. You will be accountable for customer happiness and success within your area of responsibility. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Long Beach, CA facility.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience with Hardware and LRU development, test and qualification
  • Knowledgeable in subsystem design, requirement allocation and technical supplier management
  • Critical analysis and problem-solving skills across systems, hardware and software architecture
  • Practical experience with lab equipment for hardware development, troubleshooting and data capture
  • Ability to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
