About The Position

Responsible for set-up and operation of laser cutting machines to produce products meeting customer quality requirements. Must also operate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements and monitor machine cutting performance and utilization. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Understands Machine setup including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials. Operate machine to produce parts per specification. Understands startup and proper shut down of machine. Diagnose machine problems while performing jobs and make corrections as needed. Operate Lift trucks to load and unload materials. Ability to read calipers and hand tools. Monitor quality of cutting condition and adjust as needed. Perform Operator maintenance per established schedules. Report quantities produced into ERP system. Education and/or Experience

Requirements

Good computer skills
Ability to read and follow instructions
3 to 5 years’ experience with Bystronic Laser machines
3 to 5 years in Manufacturing environment
Experience operating lift trucks
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, product and component specifications, data sheets and procedure manuals. Must be able to read and write in English.
