GE Vernova - Hydro Power is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join the North American Construction and Commissioning Sourcing team. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for projects and communication between project team members and subcontractors. Requirements

  • Technical education or Collegial related domain.
  • 3+ years of experience of Procurement and Purchasing Order Management.
  • Bilingual French & English

Nice To Haves

  • Technical understanding of Construction and subcontracting legal Terms and Conditions (T&Cs).
  • Demonstrated understanding of all phases of procurement and procurement execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to place and manage a high volume of purchase orders
  • This role requires basic experience in the Sourcing & Buying-Procurement.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Good computer skills, multitasking and data accuracy
  • Navigate a complex, matrix organization, internally and externally.
  • Time and priorities management in a high volume, high stress environment.

Responsibilities

  • Place new purchase orders, ensuring compliance with the guidelines and customer requirements.
  • Lead Kick-Off meetings and related action plans.
  • Make sure supplier understand all technical requirements of the order.
  • Follow-up on Purchase Orders, gather regular status and updates from suppliers, maintain communication tools to project teams.
  • Escalate blocking points (Supplier Deviations, etc.) with project and cross functional collaboration.
  • Update Purchase Orders with technical document updates or Change Orders.
  • Anticipate possible delays in delivery by understanding complexity, possible constraints.
  • Maintain supplier relationship even in challenging situations.
  • Negotiate General Terms and Conditions related to construction.
  • Invoicing management.
