The buyer is responsible for planning, ordering, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete purchase cycle. This role involves creating replenishment plans to ensure order fulfillment while optimizing production efficiency. The buyer will manage the entire purchasing cycle, from PO creation and follow-up to goods reception and final payment. A key aspect of this position is supplier relationship management, focusing on building partnerships based on mutual business value, compatibility of interests, need, openness, and trust. The buyer will also monitor supplier performance through a systematic approach to measure, track, and provide feedback. The role requires demonstrating the ability to consistently deliver products and services that meet customer needs, calculating and reporting weekly and monthly KPIs, and using metrics to analyze and resolve work problems. Continuous professional development is encouraged through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies. The buyer will contribute to team efforts and corporate success by participating in Six Sigma initiatives, suggesting process improvements, reducing expenses, enhancing communication, and adhering to best business practices and corporate policies. Adjustments will be made as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires availability for all shifts and days of the week, and will include backup Master Planning duties.
