Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with an ERP system; Epicor experience is a plus
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on commitments
- A willingness to learn, collaborate, and continuously improve purchasing processes
Nice To Haves
- APICS or CPM certification is preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the purchasing process from start to finish, including researching suppliers, obtaining pricing, placing orders, and tracking deliveries
- Work with experienced Buyers to manage material requirements and ensure purchase orders are completed accurately and on time
- Prepare and maintain purchase orders and other supplier agreements while keeping records accurate in the Epicor ERP system
- Research pricing, lead times, and supplier capabilities to help identify opportunities for improved cost, delivery, and quality
- Assist with supplier bids and proposals, following established purchasing policies and procedures
- Help maintain the approved supplier list by coordinating required forms and documentation
- Build and maintain positive supplier relationships, communicating regularly to address questions, delivery concerns, and product requirements
- Monitor supplier performance using quarterly supplier scorecards and help identify opportunities for improvement
- Support quality and compliance efforts, including participation in internal and external quality audits when needed
- Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to resolve purchasing and supplier issues
- Stay organized and plan ahead to help maintain production schedules and avoid material shortages
- Learn and follow Ace Precision’s Quality System Work Instructions and purchasing procedures
