About The Position

Wenger Corporation is seeking a Buyer to coordinate procurement of products and services, ensuring an adequate supply for manufacturing at the best cost, service, and quality. The role is based at the corporate headquarters in Owatonna, Minnesota, is hybrid, and is full-time with office hours. Travel may be up to 25%. Wenger Corporation is a privately held manufacturer of music education, performing arts, and athletic products, with more than 500 employees and a history of over 70 years.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, business, or a similar field, or at least 2 years of purchasing experience.
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification, or willingness to pursue and obtain the certification.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
MRP experience.

Nice To Haves

EPICOR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop favorable working relationships with suppliers and review their capabilities to ensure on-time delivery of purchased component parts and services.
Purchase and coordinate assigned parts and services to achieve the highest quality at the best cost with the lowest inventory.
Expedite supplier orders as needed to support Wenger and production.
Work with the Senior Buyer to monitor pricing fluctuations against industry standards and published prices.
Source new products or identify new suppliers for existing parts as required.
Provide information on parts and services to other departments.
Lead supplier productivity, lead-time, and quality improvements to meet the company's operating needs.
