About The Position

ST Engineering iDirect's Manufacturing Competence Center (MCC) is a manufacturer of electronics, specializing in the assembly of complex printed circuit boards and system integration for the defense, medical, and aerospace markets. We are building the future of high-tech manufacturing. As a specialist in the assembly of complex electronics for defense, medical applications, and aerospace, we are in the midst of an ambitious transformation. Our production capacity is growing, our processes are becoming smarter, and our supply chain must evolve accordingly. That's why we are looking for a Senior Buyer to strengthen our supply chain. As a Senior Buyer, you are the strategic link between suppliers, engineering, and operations. You ensure that we have the right suppliers, materials, and conditions to maintain our high-tech production at the highest level. In an environment where complex supply chains and critical deadlines converge, you make the difference. You play a key role in both new product introductions and series production, and actively build a high-performing, reliable supply base. In this senior role, you manage strategic supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and conditions. You work closely with the Operations Manager, the sales team, and other internal stakeholders. This way, you continuously monitor the optimal balance between cost, quality, and delivery reliability.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in an operational, coordinating, or customer-oriented role within manufacturing, electronics, or industrial B2B.
Understanding of how a production environment works: lead times, material constraints, realistic planning.
Experience with ERP systems and digital supply chain tools.
The ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously without losing sight of the essential.
You remain calm when it gets busy and bring structure where needed.
You communicate clearly with suppliers, production, and sales.
You take responsibility, even when you are not the final decision-maker.
You are action-oriented: you don't wait, you move.
Proactive thinker — You anticipate problems and solve them before someone else sees them.
