About The Position

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing raw materials, ingredients, or supplies to support production and business needs. The role involves communicating regularly with suppliers, maintaining pricing accuracy, and ensuring materials arrive on time and in the correct quantity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of quantities and pricing.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve loading issues or discrepancies.
• Monitor problem loads and follow orders through to resolution.
• Analyze demand, market conditions, and seasonal and pricing trends.
• Negotiate contracts.
• Coordinate with production and sales teams on material needs.
• Track inbound loads and ensure timeliness of deliveries.
• Support new vendor setup, quoting, and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to purchasing activities.
