Requirements

  • Must be able to analyze data to make an educated, informed decision.

Responsibilities

  • Purchases, plans and expedites components for use in the manufacturing process and operation of the business.
  • Qualifies and approves vendors of services and products; negotiates and maintains pricing based on volume, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Be the centralized control of purchase orders, revisions and tracking orders.
  • Contributes to the process of developing standard costs for product lines, with a primary role of continually reviewing market conditions for long and short-term price reductions.
  • Maintains daily, monthly, and to-date reports including product codes and product groups.
  • Must be able to analyze data to make an educated, informed decision.
  • Continuously reviews key performance indicators relating to critical parts not on hand, inventory turns, purchase price variance, freight variance, volume of short lead to full lead time orders.
  • Works with the Scheduling, Production, and Sales Departments to determine material purchases, priorities and maximize customer satisfaction.
