About The Position

The Buyer manages procurement and replenishment for assigned product categories to support product availability, inventory optimization, and cost competitiveness. The role analyzes inventory and purchasing data and works with Sales, Inventory Management, and Finance to support company objectives.

Responsibilities include managing purchasing activities for assigned suppliers and categories; reviewing replenishment recommendations and purchase orders; maintaining inventory levels while balancing service levels, inventory turns, and working capital; and managing custom-product purchases while ensuring vendor artwork requirements meet company requirements. The Buyer partners with Sales on customer opportunities, new business initiatives, and seasonal bulk buys; works with Product Management on product launches, transitions, and rationalization; and collaborates with Finance on inventory valuation, supplier rebates, cost savings, and budgeting. The role also supports ERP improvements and procurement process optimization and promotes procurement and supply-chain best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong purchasing and sourcing knowledge.
• Understanding of purchasing best practices.
• Experience using SAP in the procure-to-pay process.
• Inventory management and replenishment expertise.
• Cost analysis and landed cost modeling.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to build relationships internally and externally.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and influence change.

• Experience within distribution, manufacturing, foodservice, hospitality, healthcare, or industrial supply.
• Experience in a distribution setting.
• Experience buying custom branded products.

Responsibilities
