About The Position

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Buyer to execute procurement activities for aerospace parts, materials, and services under limited supervision. This role ensures compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while supporting operational efficiency and supplier performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business administration or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 2 years Procurement, supply chain or related experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Aviation procurement experience preferred.
  • SAP or equivalent ERP system(s) experience preferred.
  • Master's Degree may offset 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops sources of supply and obtains information from suppliers concerning product and/or service specifications, price, delivery dates, etc. and ensures all applicable data is current at supplier.
  • Solicits quotes, conducts bid evaluations, evaluates costs, negotiates optimum delivery schedules and ensures the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, standard terms and conditions, and where appropriate, supports the establishment of long-term agreements such as Master Orders and Blanket Purchase Agreements.
  • Prepares definitive purchase orders, including terms and conditions, makes award, administers contracts with suppliers within budgetary limitations, and ensures schedules are met.
  • Monitors supplier performance and resolves issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Ensures procurement activities comply with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace standards.
  • Collaborates with internal departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
  • Maintains accurate procurement records and supports audits and reporting requirements.
  • Assists in planning and reviewing the work of Procurement Spec, where appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
