About The Position

The Buyer coordinates activities involved in procuring goods and services, including raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies. The role works with cross-functional teams to resolve material shortages promptly and support production schedules. The Buyer reviews requisitions, prepares purchase orders, maintains procurement records in Oracle or another computerized system, communicates with related departments and vendors, expedites deliveries, handles invoice referrals, and follows up to ensure materials are received and vendors are paid according to purchase-order terms. The role involves working individually or with a team across two onsite warehouses and one offsite warehouse. Other duties may be assigned, with training provided when needed. Requirements

Knowledge of purchasing processes.
Proficient understanding of Oracle or another ERP system.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
Strong computer skills.
Organizational skills, technical capacity, time management, counting and basic math skills, and communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and departmental personnel.
Excellent written and oral communication, organization, accuracy, and attention to detail; ability to work well under stress.
Understanding of supply-chain management concepts, including identifying and eliminating redundant costs and non-value-added procedures.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, or sit for eight hours per day and lift 50 pounds.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel- or composite-toe shoes throughout the shift, and hearing protection, a hard hat or bump cap, and cut-resistant gloves as required by the project.
Ability to use step stools or ladders when required.
Successfully pass initial and random drug screenings.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves
