About The Position

We are looking for a Buyer to collaborate on one of our projects in the aerospace sector. Scalian is a multinational engineering consulting firm with over 35 years of experience and nearly 6,000 specialists across 12 countries. Requirements

  • Diploma in Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and stakeholders, including geographically dispersed vendors
  • Experience in the aerospace, manufacturing, or similar industry

Responsibilities

  • Support sourcing strategies for assigned categories and commodities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop supplier relationships.
  • Manage RFQs/RFIs and support supplier selection and negotiations.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and overall relationship.
  • Identify cost optimization and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure purchasing activities meet operational requirements while maintaining continuity of supply.
  • Manage purchase orders, follow-ups, and supplier-related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and implement sourcing strategies.
  • Maintain purchasing agreements, catalogs, and related procurement documentation.
  • Support procurement process improvements and ensure compliance with established procedures.
