About The Position

This position is responsible for the procurement of production materials and services, non-production materials and services, consumable tooling, and capital equipment. The Buyer is also responsible for supplier quality and acts as an intermediary between the supplier and the plant for quality-related items.

Requirements

• Epicor experience or similar ERP
• Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Problem solving and prevention skills
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams
• Must be able to travel - Approximately 15%
• Must be able to wear prescribed personal protective equipment – safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
• Work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment – noise, dust, odors
• Sit/stand/walk 8-10 hours a day
• Be able to lift up to 35 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
• APICS or ISM certification

Responsibilities

• Purchasing materials and supplies used in manufacturing.
• Supplier selection, cost, and delivery schedules.
• Supplier development initiatives focused on improving delivery performance, reducing cost, and improving quality.
• Staying apprised of technology updates and recent trends within the industry.
• Facilitating supplier-led training with cross-functional departments to improve overall supply chain knowledge.
• Acting as a change agent by supporting organizational/departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
• Performing other duties as assigned in support of organizational objectives.
