About The Position

This role is responsible for planning, generating, adjusting, and expediting purchase orders based on field requisitions, project insights, interpretation of drawing take-offs, BOMs/BOEs, and inventory strategies. The Buyer will track and monitor purchase orders, staying informed of any problems or delays, and communicating any impacts or constraints to the Planner and Project Manager. Daily communication with suppliers is essential to ensure on-time delivery, system data integrity, and adherence to ordering parameters for individual materials. The Buyer will also communicate site access maps to suppliers along with all relevant transport and communication information.

Requirements

Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
One year of experience in purchasing, planning or related Supply Chain function.

Nice To Haves

APICS or other certification preferred.
Understands the sourcing strategies and terms and conditions with each supplier, and the commodity markets for which you support.
