About The Position

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, components, or services to support business and production requirements. This role partners closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure cost‑effective procurement, on‑time delivery, and inventory optimization. Ideal for professionals with 4+ years of buying or procurement experience who can operate independently and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or buying roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple suppliers and purchase orders in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end purchasing activities, including sourcing, pricing negotiations, purchase order creation, and supplier follow‑up.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and consistent performance.
  • Analyze demand, inventory levels, and lead times to support replenishment strategies and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers while ensuring alignment with quality, service, and cost objectives.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with planning, production, engineering, quality, logistics, and accounting teams.
  • Resolve supplier‑related issues including delivery delays, quality concerns, invoice discrepancies, and shortages.
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Support sourcing initiatives, cost‑reduction efforts, and continuous improvement projects.
