About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced produce professional to manage the buying and selling of warm vegetables — tomatoes, peppers, squash, and related items. This role involves contracting with growers, working through consolidation facilities, coordinating freight, and selling to distributors and end users. You’ll be responsible for bidding on customer business, managing daily market pricing, and maintaining strong margins. Buying and selling produce. Buying and selling to our distributor network. This role will be hybrid (4 days a week) based in our Temecula, CA, Salinas, CA, or Suwanee, GA office. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the produce industry as a warm veg buyer
Strong with Microsoft Excel and Word
Work experience with consolidation and logistics

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
Experience with procurement software is an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day pricing for the team.
Provide insights on markets and trends.
Manage a book of business and grow sales.
Maintain organized and accurate procurement records, ensuring all documentation is current and compliant.
Monitor order statuses, delivery schedules, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
Communicate effectively with suppliers to confirm shipping details and resolve delivery or invoice issues.
Collaborate internally with the contract and pricing team to ensure invoice accuracy.
Ensure adherence to internal procurement procedures and applicable regulation.
