Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience
  • University degree in Business or equivalent
  • Experience managing supplier and stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to understand supply chain management processes, including; materials management, procurement, and strategic sourcing
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both verbally and written)
  • Exposure to sourcing, negotiation and contract development skills
  • Basic understanding of contract law
  • Understand and utilize best practice SCM processes.
  • Customer focused with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and shift priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • CCP (Certified Professional Purchaser) or an asset.
  • PMAC (Purchasing Management Association of Canada) registration and/or accreditation would be an asset
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma is also an asset
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Oracle ERP, Discoverer, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint are definite assets

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the effectiveness and productivity of procurement operations from requisition to payment for category management of approximately $25 Million in annual spend
  • Responsible for the effectiveness and productivity of procurement operations from requisition to payment. Manage the automated flow of PO creation (90% of POs) and assist with manual POs for operations (10%)
  • Responsible for daily support/inquiries from LifeLabs Operations and Client Service internal stakeholder and purchasing team members
  • Responsible for supporting Purchasing manager with more additional inquiries and escalated task assignments on behalf of the department
