Role Summary: Reporting to the Purchasing and Planning Group Leader, you will be responsible for the strategic procurement of a range of parts at EXFO. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of operations by analyzing performance indicators and implementing solutions to increase process efficiency.

Requirements

  • College Diploma (DEC) in Supply Chain Management, Administration, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in a similar role, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy and a strong results orientation.
  • Excellent work organization skills, great rigor, and a proactive approach to priority management.
  • Strong analytical skills, combined with a strong orientation towards continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Good command of a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, ideally SAP.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with advanced Excel, Power BI, and Snowflake for data analysis, report generation, and KPI monitoring.
  • French: advanced
  • English: advanced (international context)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or continuous process improvement is a significant asset.
  • Knowledge of the electronics, optics, or IT markets is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the procurement of goods and services necessary for production activities, particularly in the electronic, IT, mechanical, and optical fields.
  • Manage procurement lead times and proactively communicate relevant information to planners and various internal clients.
  • Follow up on orders and maintain effective collaborative relationships with suppliers.
  • Handle quality issues, non-conformities, and delivery discrepancies in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Monitor and analyze performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development and optimization of performance analysis and monitoring tools, particularly using Power BI and Snowflake.
  • Perform various administrative tasks related to procurement activities.
  • Contribute to production planning activities and the validation of customer order delivery dates.
