About The Position

C.E. Precision Assemblies, a Trexon company, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Buyer/Planner to join our team in Chandler, AZ. The Buyer/Planner manages purchasing activities and inventory planning to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and customer requirements. This position works closely with suppliers, production, engineering, and the warehouse to maintain optimal inventory levels while controlling costs and ensuring on-time delivery. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–5+ years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP, Oracle or Epicor).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong ability to follow up and take ownership.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor’s degree or certifications desired
  • Knowledge of inventory management and demand planning.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and supply chain principles.
  • Experience with supplier relationship management and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and purchase materials based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
  • Create, issue, and manage purchase orders.
  • Insure proper flow down to suppliers of all contract requirements.
  • Analyze material requirements using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Expedite critical orders and resolve supply shortages.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with vendors.
  • Track supplier performance, including quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and warehouse teams to support manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Prepare reports on inventory, purchasing, and supplier performance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on documentation, RMA processes, and issue resolution.
  • Support miscellaneous projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • Procure tools, BOM items, and equipment as required.
