Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, planning, supply chain, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems to manage planning and procurement activities.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production scheduling requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage suppliers, resolve shortages, and maintain supply continuity.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive issues to resolution with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Reads and understands complex written technical documents, proposals, business communications.
  • Speaks and writes fluently English and persuasively across different professional settings.
  • Tailors communication style for different audiences.
  • Able to edit and review others' written work for clarity, grammar, and tone.
  • Applies ratios, proportions, and basic algebra. Interprets charts, graphs, and simple data sets. Ability to use formulas for measurements, cost estimation, or budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of material planning and purchasing in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Drive planning decisions using ERP/MRP systems to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Manage supplier performance.
  • Resolve shortages proactively.
  • Balance inventory with service requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration by partnering with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to meet business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks before they impact production.
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing planning and procurement processes to support our growing business.
