About The Position
This position performs advanced and complex purchasing and procurement activities for Information Technology goods and services, including enterprise-level software, hardware, and cloud-based solutions, in accordance with university, state, and federal regulations. The Buyer III serves as a senior procurement specialist responsible for end-to-end sourcing, contract development and execution, vendor negotiation, and cost analysis for high-value and high-impact IT procurement’s. This role collaborates with IT, Finance, Legal, and departmental stakeholders to define requirements, ensure compliance, and optimize procurement strategies. Additionally, the position supports IT Business Services operations by managing ticket intake, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to process improvements and reporting initiatives.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in public sector or higher education procurement and TSUS and university procurement statutes.
