About The Position

Molded Dimensions Group is seeking a Buyer I to own domestic purchasing and help optimize their ERP system (IQMS). This is a hands-on role at the center of purchasing, scheduling, and operations, offering the opportunity to make an impact and grow. The Buyer I will work closely with the Production Scheduler to ensure the manufacturing floor has necessary materials, manage supplier relationships, and support operational excellence. A key part of the role involves building and maintaining IQMS data for improved efficiency and reliability. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrates strong follow-through in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Comfort and confidence working in an ERP system, with a willingness to dig into the details to get the data right.
• A collaborative teammate who works well with scheduling, operations, quality, and customer service.
• A sense of urgency when it matters, without creating unnecessary noise.
• Hands-on ERP experience required; IQMS experience is a major plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Willing and able to provide references from previous direct supervisors.

Nice To Haves

• 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred, ideally in a contract manufacturing environment (rubber or plastics experience a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Production Scheduler to anticipate material needs and keep domestic purchases on schedule.
• Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders in IQMS, ensuring accurate delivery confirmations and proactive supplier communication.
• Improve supplier on-time delivery through consistent follow-up and relationship management.
• Communicate material status clearly to Customer Service, Quality, and Operations.
• Build, maintain, and improve ERP data including lead times, pricing, order quantities, and vendor records to make purchasing more efficient and reliable.
