Kustom Signals is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer I to join their Purchasing team. The Buyer I will be crucial in ensuring the timely procurement of materials and supplies for production and operations, working with vendors, manufacturing, and Engineering. The position involves contributing to cost-saving initiatives and building strong supplier relationships, ideal for someone with early-career purchasing experience eager to grow in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Negotiation and cost analysis skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
Familiarity with supply-chain management principles
Ability to build effective vendor relationships

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate domestic suppliers for raw materials, equipment, and services
Negotiate purchase agreements that align with quality, cost, and delivery goals
Process purchase requisitions and prepare accurate, timely purchase orders
Support vendor communication based on sales and operations planning forecasts
Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and service departments to maintain optimal inventory levels
Track supplier performance and identify opportunities for long-term partnerships and cost reductions
Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to the department’s continuous improvement efforts
