About The Position

We are looking for a strong merchant and team player to join our Global division. You will be joining a collaborative team and working closely with our international partners across the Globe. Pottery Barn is our largest Brand and requires a buyer who is strategic, with a growth mindset, excellent communication and influencing skills. As part of Williams Sonoma, Inc., a leader in home lifestyle and retail, our merchandising team drives curated assortments, customer engagement and profitability thru data-informed, trend right assortments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years merchandising or buying experience.
  • Strong retail math and financial planning skills.
  • Advanced Excel and merchandising systems proficiency.
  • Strong communication and leadership capability.
  • This role requires being onsite in the (provide office location) office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years people management preferred.
  • Home buyer experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver financial targets by owning sales, margin, inventory productivity, and assortment performance across Franchise markets.
  • Own category and market assortment strategy, seasonal product direction, and localization aligned with US brand objectives and Franchise partner needs.
  • Establish pricing hierarchy, promotional strategy, markdown execution, and product lifecycle management to optimize commercial performance across Franchise markets.
  • Lead seasonal assortment planning, Go-to-Market (GTM) execution, and milestone calendar management across Franchise markets.
  • Lead business recaps, reporting, merchandising communications, and performance analysis to drive informed business decisions.
  • Lead competitive analysis, market insights, vendor partnerships, product development, and pricing strategies to identify growth opportunities and optimize assortments across Franchise markets.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Inventory Management, Product Development, Sourcing, Logistics, Legal, Marketing, Digital Commerce, and Franchise Partners to deliver business objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence through scalable merchandising processes, tools, and continuous process improvements while strengthening Franchise execution and partner alignment.
  • Lead execution of WSI Global Growth initiatives while developing Associate Buyers and Assistant Buyers and building merchandising capability across Franchise markets.
