Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Buyer Direct located in Salt Lake City UT. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager Direct the Buyer Direct is responsible for managing site Return to Vendor (RTV) activities from initiation through final resolution, ensuring material recovery via credit or replacement. The role provides critical support to inventory control, quality, and supplier performance, while also supporting broader purchasing activities as needed. What a typical day looks like: Maintaining relations with the suppliers. Receiving and handling the confirmations. Correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation Own and execute the RTV process end to end, from identification of nonconforming material to recovery through credit or replacement Coordinate with suppliers, Quality, Receiving, Finance, and Logistics to ensure timely shipment, tracking, and closure of RTVs Correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation. Filing and recording all necessary documents. Ensure accurate documentation, inventory transactions, and financial reconciliation related to returned material Monitor RTV aging, follow up on open claims, and escalate delays to minimize inventory and financial exposure Support execution of purchase orders as required to support site needs Support procurement activities across the full lead-time process , from supplier coordination to delivery follow-up

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Use of the following tools may be required: Working usage of Word, Excel and Power Point, English language knowledge, data entry, ten-key, spreadsheet (PC), ERP software.
Comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities
