About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Buyer - Capital Projects to join our team in Richmond, VA. Relocation assistatance available within the US. The capital coordination orchestration from customer to supplier requires a strong operational partner to manage, measure and maintain business relations with external partners. The Capital Coordinator is responsible for complex procurement of custom products and services and related project support aspects such as purchase orders, capital management, procurement volumes, forecast and supplier performance and compliance. The Capital Coordinator focus lies on new and defined suppliers for a range of products procured from inside or outside of Eaton to satisfy project goals and deliverables within the required timeline. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, operations or a combination of those functions
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
  • Ability to effectively present results and recommendations to senior-level executive team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years of procurement or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with SAP MRP/ERP system preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Procure parts and services with complex or custom requirements
  • Facilitate inter-company purchases while ensuring timelines are followed
  • Perform supplier capabilities qualification and enforce quality requirements
  • Receive, validate and communicate Engineering Specs for equipment with support of Engineering
  • Monitor new tender or portfolio needs, validate make/buy & facilitate timely vendor onboarding
  • Engage suppliers in tender preparation and align on responsibilities for delivery, installation and maintenance
  • Manage project forecast expectations for capital expenditure
  • Align on FAT / FWT testing execution with the support of Engineering/Quality or Customer representatives
  • Track supplier performance, compliance and facilitate clear paths of communication for symbiotic supplier relationships
