About The Position

The Site Project Buyer is responsible for executing procurement and purchasing activities in direct support of capital project delivery. Based full‑time at the project site in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, this role serves as the onsite commercial authority for supplier sourcing, purchase order execution, and supplier commercial management, ensuring that materials, equipment, and engineered items are procured in alignment with project schedule, cost, and construction requirements. Working in close partnership with the Expediting Site Delivery Manager, Project Controls, Engineering, Construction, Quality, and Logistics, the Site Project Buyer ensures that purchase orders are placed accurately and timely, commercial terms are enforced, supplier obligations are clearly defined, and procurement actions enable reliable delivery and installation readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, buying, or supplier commercial management on capital projects.
  • Proven experience supporting large industrial, infrastructure, energy, or manufacturing projects.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must pass comprehensive background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the onsite buyer for capital project materials, equipment, and long‑lead engineered items.
  • Execute purchase orders in accordance with approved sourcing strategies, technical specifications, and project schedules.
  • Ensure purchase orders clearly define delivery milestones, documentation requirements, inspection points, and logistics terms.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering and Construction to confirm scope, quantities, and technical alignment prior to placement.
  • Act as the primary commercial interface with suppliers for assigned purchase orders.
  • Manage compliance with contractual terms including pricing, delivery commitments, change management, and payment milestones.
  • Lead commercial resolution of supplier issues related to scope clarifications, delivery impacts, or commercial deviations.
  • Support expediting escalation efforts by enforcing contractual remedies and recovery actions when delivery risks arise.
