About The Position

We are currently looking for a Buyer 1, Manufacturing Parts to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. In this role, you’ll support sourcing and cost reduction efforts for assigned commodities by analyzing data, assisting with strategy, coordinating with teams and suppliers, tracking progress, and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of purchasing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, SCM, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work on-site in Farmington Hills, MI.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility at the time of hire; Nissan uses E-Verify to validate employment eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing and manage supplier selection to support cost reduction goals.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including analyzing and comparing suppliers.
• Partner with internal teams to understand requirements and ensure supplier alignment.
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, and cost-saving initiatives while tracking results.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure compliance, accurate reporting, and successful delivery on goals.
