About The Position

The Button Operator role is responsible for maintaining machine gage lengths for foam rolls and sheet orders. This position requires understanding and executing work order instructions, packaging logs and sheets, applying correct labels, and performing visual inspections. The operator must maintain a clean and safe work area, operate a tow motor, and understand button operations for maintaining proper roll lengths. A focus on operations and quality in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Requirements

• Good math skills.
• Good written & verbal communication skills.
• Read, write, and speak English.
• Comprehension of written instructions.
• Good attention to details.
• An ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.
• An ability to safely handle a utility knife and other hand tools as needed.
• High School diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining machine gage lengths for foam rolls and sheet orders.
• Understanding and executing work order instructions.
• Removing completed logs and/or sheets from the line.
• Packaging logs and/or sheets into gaylords.
• Applying correct labels for shipment.
• Wrapping packages for shipment.
• Performing visual inspection of log wind up.
• Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations.
• Operating a tow motor.
• Understanding the button operations for maintaining proper roll lengths.
• Maintaining focus on operations & quality in a fast-paced environment.
