About The Position

A family based in Palm Beach, FL, is seeking a seasoned butler/house manager to help handle their properties and busy lifestyle. This is a full-time, year round role. There will be travel to NJ and the Hamptons, but the main residence is based in Palm Beach. The candidate should already be living locally, within commutable distance of the Palm Beach area. The family is open to relocation for the right candidate.

Requirements

Must be legal to work in the US
Prior butler experience
Prior house management experience
Ability to travel
Clean and valid drivers license
High discretion, maturity, and excellent judgment
Discretion and privacy are critically important in this role.
Operate with complete professionalism, sound judgment, and absolute confidentiality.
Naturally discreet, understands boundaries, protects the privacy of the principal and household at all times, and can be trusted to manage sensitive matters without unnecessary visibility or discussion.

Polished professional individual with prior private-home experience
Prior knowledge and formal butler training or experience
Formal butler training, preferably from a respected European institution, is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage a fully staffed home across multiple properties.
Operate at a very high level in both hospitality and household management.
Strong traditional hosting skills with confidence serving principals and guests in a polished private-home environment
Top-tier dinner service, including formal table service, pace of service, table setting, guest flow, and overall presentation
Strong cocktail-making skills and comfort with beverage service, bar setup, and entertaining standards
Ability to hire, train, schedule, supervise, and hold staff accountable to clear standards
Willingness to travel regularly and manage operations across East Hampton, Red Bank, and Palm Beach
Need to anticipate issues, solve problems before they arise, and ensure the household runs smoothly without requiring constant direction.
Hosting guests formally and confidently.
Running a top-level dinner or in-home event
Managing service standards and household presentation
Overseeing staff schedules and day-to-day household operations
Identifying problems early and resolving them before they ever reach the principal
