About The Position

At Henderson Retail, we have recently expanded our company-owned butchery operations, and have exciting plans for future growth. As a Butchery Assistant, you will have the opportunity to undertake an accredited learning programme (subject to eligibility criteria) and develop your skills for potential future progression within Henderson Retail Butchery operations. You’ll join our friendly team to deliver first class customer service, quality & presentation at the butchery counter, maintain great hygiene standards prepare a range of pre- packed products and preparing meat for display following company standards.

Requirements

• Candidates must be aged 18 years or above (due to the safety requirements within a butchery counter).
• Personality, passion, energy and a positive attitude.
• Know how to make our customers smile and provide the very best experience.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience or experience working within a customer facing role.
• Previous experience working within a meat/ poultry service environment.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing meat products to pre-set standards.
• Ensuring that all hygiene and cleanliness procedures are followed at all times.
• Providing and excellent counter service to our customers- listening to their needs and providing expert advice on our products.
• Deliver first class customer service, quality & presentation at the butchery counter.
• Maintain great hygiene standards.
• Prepare a range of pre-packed products and preparing meat for display following company standards.
