BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an experienced Butcher to join their World-Class Team. This role involves receiving, rotating, cutting, wrapping, and merchandising fresh and processed meats. The Butcher will also assist in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and pre-packed deli items, as well as supporting the rotisserie chicken area and full-service deli. A key part of the role is assisting members with special meat selections and arrangements, while maintaining strict sanitation and safety standards within the meat department. Team members are expected to carry out job functions, support club policies, act with honesty and integrity, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively, and move with speed and agility. A commitment to delivering excellent member service through greeting, anticipating needs, and appreciating members (GAA) is essential, along with maintaining fast, friendly service and upholding full, fresh, and clean club standards. Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards and GOLD Club Standards is expected, including executing promotional plans, maintaining accurate signage, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. Understanding department performance reporting and the connection between consistent execution and business impact is also important.
