BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an experienced Butcher to join their team. This full-time position involves receiving, rotating, cutting, wrapping, and merchandising fresh and processed meats. The Butcher will also assist in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and pre-packed deli items, as well as supporting the rotisserie chicken area and full-service deli. Responsibilities include assisting with meat selection, preparing special meat arrangements for members, and maintaining all sanitation and safety standards within the meat department. Team members are expected to carry out job functions, support club policies, act with honesty and integrity, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively, and move with speed and agility. Members are expected to receive excellent service, have concerns resolved, and experience a safe and positive environment. Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and Club Standards (Grand opening look, stocked items, accurate signage, clean and organized) is essential. Understanding department performance reporting and the impact of consistent execution on the business is also key.
