Position Summary The Butcher Block Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the full-service butcher block, ensuring exceptional customer service, high-quality meat products, and adherence to food safety standards. This role provides leadership to department associates, supports merchandising and inventory management efforts, and helps drive sales and profitability through product knowledge, customer engagement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activities within the butcher block service area.
  • Ensure meat products are properly cut, trimmed, packaged, and displayed according to company standards.
  • Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
  • Monitor service counters and product availability to meet customer demand.
  • Support execution of merchandising plans, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a personalized shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with product selection, custom cutting requests, and cooking recommendations.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Promote sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Build customer loyalty through outstanding service and expertise.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to department associates.
  • Assist with training associates on product knowledge, food safety, and customer service standards.
  • Promote teamwork and accountability within the department.

  • Support implementation of promotional and seasonal displays.
