About The Position

LS Busway, a division of LS Cable & System USA, is seeking Sales Managers for the Midwest and Northeast regions. This is a remote position within these US regions, requiring travel. The Busway Sales Manager is responsible for planning, maintaining, and managing LS Cable's sales within a defined territory. This includes managing independent sales representative organizations, sales to distribution, distribution sales to contractors, and end-users. The role also involves executing technical specification activities to enhance the brand image and identity of LS Cable energy products through targeted customer calls, technical presentations, speaking engagements, and partner activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant electrical cable industry experience and/or training.
  • Current familiarity and contacts in the designated territory.
  • Ability to use a PC or laptop and the Windows operating environment.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Market knowledge of electrical wire and cable for commercial and industrial applications.
  • Superior communication (written and verbal) talents, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • General technical comprehension of the properties and standards for electrical wire and cable.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from top management, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to analyze pricing and contribution margin.
  • Ability to derive an optimal solution in an environment containing conflicting or limited product requirements and performance characteristics.

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in the development and implementation of Distributor, Representation, and Contractor Programs, including training, joint sales calls, database maintenance, and program updates.
  • Conduct training for end-users, contractors, and representatives.
  • Serve as the LS Cable contact for assigned end-users.
  • Establish relationships with contractors and distributors.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management on new business opportunities and justify new investments.
  • Support business development efforts.
  • Coordinate efforts with LS Cable manufacturers' representatives through joint calls, seminars, and training.
  • Communicate with Marketing regarding the competitive environment and product enhancements.
  • Gain insight into customers' internal corporate initiatives and suggest programs and tools to differentiate LS Cable.
  • Follow up on leads/new contacts and establish relationships with contractors and distribution in the territory.
  • Discuss accounts, targets, and opportunities with each manufacturer's representative firm on a bi-weekly basis via conference call or face-to-face meeting.
  • Work jointly with manufacturer's reps to target opportunities.
  • Meet assigned sales objectives in target product lines on an annual basis.
