About The Position
The Washington House is hiring Bussers to join our team. The staff at the Washington House take pride in offering caring, knowledgeable hospitality and excellent food in a high energy, positive work environment. We are looking for bussers who have a sincere desire to make people happy and lie being part of a hardworking team. All of our bussers work weekdays, weekends, and a holidays.
Requirements
- Availability to work varied hours/days
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to lift and carry heavy plates, boxes and dining room tables and chairs when necessary
Responsibilities
- Engage with each customer to make them feel welcome and comfortable.
- Greet table within two minutes of arrival and fill waters
- Make rounds in assigned areas to ensure waters are always full
- Clear courses as all guests are finished or when a guest has moved plates to the side
- Clear and reset tables as guests leave
- Polish silverware and complete side jobs as necessary
- Assist servers in bringing meals to the table
- Work cooperatively with all front of house, back of house, hotel and theater staff to maintain a positive work environment at all times
