About The Position

The Busser supports wait staff and bartenders to ensure smooth and efficient service. While not the front line of service, strong attention to detail and attentiveness are essential to delight our guests. The Busser serves water, salsa, and tortilla chips upon guest arrival.

Requirements

  • Minimum 17 years of age
  • Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant service procedures
  • Understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Strong customer service and hospitality skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to assist coworkers as needed
  • Ability to clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently
  • Ability to carry trays, dishes, and supplies safely
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the duration of the shift
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop lift and carry up to 60 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Restaurant experience in hospitality environment preferred, but not required
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification

Responsibilities

  • Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
  • Promptly greet guests as they are seated and provide chips & salsa.
  • Clear tables after guests.
  • Take soiled tableware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area
  • Between seating’s promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths.
  • Check floor/bathrooms and clean as required.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to guest requests, communicating them to the server as needed
  • Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
  • Must maintain a clean and organized service area
  • Thank guests as they are leaving
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or director
  • Wash and sanitize hands after removing trash, eating and drinking, using the bathroom, touching own face or hair, or handling food prep.
