About The Position

The Busser PRN position at The Garlands of Barrington is an on-call role with a focus on supporting the dining and kitchen teams. This role involves maintaining cleanliness, restocking stations, and ensuring a high level of service for members and guests. The position offers a consistent hourly pay rate in a non-tipping environment and the opportunity to connect with residents.

Requirements

Must be able to lift 15 lbs. (trays, large coffee pots, dish pans, pots, silverware, dry storage, linens, etc.).
Must be able to stoop as well as stand and walk continuously
Must be able to move arms and hands in various directions to clean tables and workstations
Must be able to lift and move tables and chairs, boxes and other containers
Must be able to use sharp utensils
Conversational English required

Responsibilities

Support the dining and kitchen Team Members by cleaning, maintaining and restocking stations and completing tasks to transition from one shift to the next.
Interact with customers to ensure their satisfaction and build relationships with our Members and guests.
Maintain high standards for table settings, presentation and sequencing of food.
Provide additional assistance to customers as needed (e.g., walk Member back to apartment/villa, bring food to them when they are not feeling well, etc.).
Sets-up condiment station and beverage station, prior to starting the shift and breaks down at the end of the evening.
Maintain cleanliness of dining rooms by vacuuming, dusting, etc.
Work collaboratively with all Team Members and take whatever action is necessary to provide the highest level of service to all Members of The Garlands.
