About The Position

The beautiful Shangri-La Resort, located at the tip of Monkey Island in the center of northeast Oklahoma's Grand Lake O' the Cherokees, is currently taking applications for seasonal workers. This is a rewarding seasonal job for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals looking for a great way to earn extra income, gain hands-on experience, or work in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to maintain professional status through interface with customers, management, and co-workers.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including but not limited to extended hours, irregular shifts, evenings, holidays, and/or weekends.
  • Serve as a guest relations ambassador, delivering exceptional service every moment of the day.
  • Exhibit professionalism, courtesy, and respect towards guests and associates under all circumstances.
  • Strive to create memorable guest experiences, maintaining Shangri-La's high service standards.
  • Follow established work procedures and policies, maintaining punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Adapt to changes in the work environment with a positive attitude.
  • Approach problem-solving proactively, seeking assistance when needed and continuously improving skills.
  • Adhere to Shangri-La's safety and security policies, including key controls and proper handling of chemicals.
  • Exercise care when lifting heavy objects and promptly report any safety concerns or hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with emergency procedures to maintain a secure environment for guests and associates.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Related experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled shift in full uniform.
  • Pour water for guests as soon as they are seated and refill all beverages as needed.
  • Set tables for lunch and dinner.
  • Clear tables after members and guests leave and fully reset tables.
  • Assist other servers, bussers, and runners to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
  • Polish silverware and stemware.
  • Weave the room checking each table for any drinks to be refilled and manicuring the table.
  • Carry stemware, silverware, and dishes on a tray.
  • Address members and guests professionally and courteously at all times.
  • Complete all opening and closing duties as a team.
  • Check the schedule daily for any changes.
  • Report any problems with co-workers to management only.
  • Notify management immediately of any member or guest problems or concerns.
  • Walk members and guests to the restroom or any other area.
  • Check with a manager or supervisor before leaving.
