About The Position
Nestled riverside at the edge of Guerneville in Sonoma's wine-rich Russian River Valley, Dawn Ranch is Resort Hotel, Restaurant, and Spa which offers guests the opportunity to rejuvenate themselves by exploring their own creativity, life’s simple pleasures, and un-bounded possibilities. Our cottage-style resort hotel and event venue offer a unique Sonoma wine country escape that is at once rooted in history, nature, and modern essential luxury - among 15 acres of ancient giant redwoods, sprawling meadows, and a vintage orchard. As the AM Busser/Runner, you are primarily responsible for maintaining a clean environment for the guests in the hotel restaurant. You will provide a clean and pleasant dining experience by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables, ensuring the dining room is well-stocked and tidy. You will also assist our guests with refilling drinks and running food throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Previous experience preferred.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced environment a plus.
- Proven work experience, hotel level food serving preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to dining room service.
Responsibilities
- Clear and clean tables in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down tables, and restocking condiments and other supplies.
- Communicate effectively with servers and other dining room staff to ensure smooth operation of service.
- Assist in other departments within the restaurant when needed.
- Grasp, lift, carry, and move large bus trays of food, plates, utensils, and glasses weighing a maximum of 20 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
- Withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
- Continuously clear used glasses, dishes, and silverware from the dining room tables, bar top, and lounge area, and transport them to the dishwashing area.
- Set up and clean down tables between customers, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning, and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
- Monitor the floor spaces for needed sweeping, reconfiguring of furniture, spills, etc.
- Assist food servers in delivering food and drinks to guest tables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
