Busser & Food Runner - Part Time
About The Position
Nestled in the Sierra Foothills, Starfield Vineyards is a destination winery offering premium wines, a variety of food, stunning views, and an elevated tasting experience. We are passionate about crafting exceptional wines and providing our guests with warm hospitality in a picturesque setting. We are looking for a reliable and energetic Busser / Food Runner to join our front-of-house team. In this role, you’ll help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment while supporting servers and enhancing the overall guest experience. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a friendly attitude. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, thrives in a collaborative setting, and is committed to providing exceptional hospitality in every interaction.
Requirements
- Ability to move fast and stay on your feet for the duration of a shift.
- Team player who jumps in to help wherever needed.
- Notices the small things–crumbs on a chair, guests who need a refill.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays -- outside -- both summer & winter.
- Previous restaurant experience a plus, but we are happy to train anyone with the right work ethic!
Responsibilities
- Quickly clear, clean and sanitize tables after guests depart to ensure a seamless flow for the host stand.
- Assist servers by refilling water, clearing pre-bus items (empty plates, glassware, flight boards and trays).
- Keep the patio, porch, floors and service stations clean and organized. Wash dishes and glasses as needed.
- Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure the guest experience is flawless from start to finish. Monitor and restock service stations, ensuring all essentials are readily available.
- Handle glassware and plates with care and follow food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Make Starfield a welcoming place for all guests, greeting guests in a friendly, attentive manner.
