About The Position

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred.
Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
Sees to the comfort of guests through answering questions, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and makes suggestions based on their preferences.
Delivers food to guests at the proper table at the proper time, quickly and efficiently.
Maintains knowledge of the menu and all specials.
Arranges table settings prior to guests being seated.
Busses tables and cleans and sanitizes them as guests are done eating and leave.
Ensures guests are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Adheres to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.
Maintains a friendly attitude, attending all guests in an efficient and prompt manner.
Collects used dishes and utensils from tables and returns them to the dishwashing area.
Assists with inventory procedures. Alerts Supervisor about shortages or discrepancies.
Cleans spills, re-stocks and wipes down tables, chairs, sweep floors etc.
Inspects supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe working area along with awareness of all sanitary practices.
Supports other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Adheres to safety and quality regulations.
Handles guest complaints and solve problem to the degree possible.
Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
