About The Position

The Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa is looking to fill the role of Busperson. This position is located next door to the Parliament Buildings in Canada's capital. The role involves assisting Food & Beverage Servers, ensuring proper setup of stations, running food orders, and providing engaging service to guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar environment
• Smart Serve Certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Fluent in both official languages
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Ensure the proper set up of all side stations in the outlet
• Run food orders and replenish product offerings
• Greet, acknowledge and provide assistance to guests
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned
