About The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of production employees on the 1st shift in a food manufacturing environment. You will drive process improvements, ensure production key performance indicators (KPI) goals are met, and foster a culture of safety, quality, cost, and engagement. You will manage resources effectively and create an environment that supports operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a fast pace, manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and plant safety standards.
  • Familiarity with SAP and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma-Green Belt, TPM)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple production lines in a cell daily production to maintain quality, productivity, and cost standards.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure job responsibilities are performed effectively.
  • Support sanitation operations to maintain a clean and food-safe environment.
  • Enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures consistently.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide coaching for improvement.
  • Promote and maintain compliance with safety programs, including lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, and confined space entry.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies are met or exceeded.
  • Manage projects focused on root cause analysis and lead Kaizen events to drive sustainable process improvements.
